St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School

The development of a new Sports Precinct for St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School boasts a Water Polo Heated Pool and 50m Lap Pool to enable students to train and compete year round in FINA Certified state of the art facilities.  As an experienced Pool Contractor, APS were engaged by Tomkins Commercial to undertake the swimming pool works. The Pool is constructed at ground level, above the basement Plant Room and Balance Tank.  The Swimming Pool will be fully tiled using a Full Metz Tile and Waterproofing System to provide a 10 Year warranty. The Pool Water Treatment System was expertly designed by Aquatic One.  The new PWT system comprised of;

• Neptune Benson Defender Regenerative Media Filters with Poly Backwash Tank.
• VSD Pumps, Hair and Lint Strainers.
• Electrical Switchboard and Control Panels with Full Automation Control and 10 Inch Touchscreen.
• ProCal Calcium Hypo Feeder and Sulphuric Acid System Dosing.
• DiaLog Chemistry Analysers & Controllers.
• Gas Heating System complete with heat exchangers and solar heating provision for future installation.
• Miscellaneous Plant

Due to a strip drain located directly behind the Wet Deck Gutter, standard ‘ off the shelf’ starting blocks were not suitable.  APS will have custom manufactured FINA Compliant Removable Competition Blocks manufactured for the client.

Competition Water Polo Fields, Goals, Lane Ropes, Disabled Pool Hoist, Backstroke and False Start Poles will also be installed. This project was successfully completed on time and within budget.
