Project Details

The scope of works for this project was to remove the existing vinyl liner and high pressure waterblast the surface to expose the concrete surface.

There were a number of structural defects found and extra repairs were required.  A chemical construction grout was drilled and injected to repair the voids in the concrete structure and a new tiling system was installed to the entry steps improving health and safety for patrons.

The client required a new pool finish that was not only water tight but would provide a cost effective and healthy option for patrons.  APS installed an ELBE Blue line Reinforced Membrane which provided the client with a 15 year water tightness warranty, 5 year stain resistant warranty and 5 year chlorine resistant warranty.

The timeline was extremely tight as the facility had a limited time frame to complete works and have the pool reopened to accommodate swim schools. APS operated 24 hour shifts and even though the scope of works was increased, all works were completed ahead of schedule and the facility downtime was reduced.  The works were also completed under budget.
